MMDA official nabbed for extortion posts bail

MANILA, Philippines – A Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) official who was arrested for accepting extortion money has posted bail.
Engineer Narciso Yamat, who was in charge of the MMDA's operation against illegal billboards, posted a P100,000 bail.
He was arrested Tuesday night after he received 30,000 in marked money from the complainant Ad World.
MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino had sacked Yamat following his arrest.
